Spots? Shiny or flaky skin? Blemishes?

Like any young woman, I was always looking for reasonably priced beauty products to get the best from my skin. As a teenager I suffered with mild achene and always seeked to cover it up as I could never find a product to subdue the spots. I went through so many cheap brands that only worked for a while then, just didn’t! But now, I finally have found my Bargain Beauty products!

Face wash:

Boots Skin Clear Daily Face Wash

I use this product one a day in the shower and I haven’t had any major breakouts in the last year! I also use Boots Skin Clear Daily Face Scrub one a week to make sure my pores stay clear and getting rid of dead tissue to help stop breakouts. I found using it everyday just causes more irritation, and a beauty therapist suggested that I just use it once a week.

Moisturiser:

Boots Vitamin E Moisture Lotion SPF 15

This is the best moisturiser I have found so far! One centimeter massaged into the skin after using the face wash/scrub in the shower leaves my skin feeling soft. I have a mild case of seborrheic dermatitis so I am prone to dry skin, but this product stops the flaky skin I used to get on my forehead.

Foundation:

Natural Collection Shine Away Foundation

This foundation blends well into my skin when applied with a foam wedge. My mistake at first was applying too much, but half a centimeter seems to be enough to cover my face in a thin, mat layer which has mostly good cover.

Concealer:

George Blemish Concealer

This is the best, cheap concealer I have found yet. It is in stick form and blends into skin well to help hide those odd stubborn spots. It doesn’t leave a powdery residue, like some cheap concealers, that flakes off under your foundation. It also contains more vitamin E.

Powder:

Natural Collection Pressed Powder

I use this powder to finish off my appearance. It doesn’t clump and it matches my skin tone well.

Lipstick:

George Moisturising Lipstick

I have a problem with dry lips and this lipstick keeps my lips soft while not putting a hole in my purse. I also recently bought some metallic, dark pink glasses and the light pink shade I use doesn’t wash out my complexion or clash with my glasses.

Please remember, all our skins types are different. What works for my dry, oily skin make not work for yours, but if you’ve got to the point where you want to give up with affordable beauty products, give these a try and let me know how you get on!

Next post: my fashion bargain buys!

Ciao for now x x
